A report should help you ask a better question. Explore the shape of the work, look closer at a change, and decide what deserves attention.

CLARITY BEFORE COMPLEXITY

Less reporting noise.
More useful questions.

  1. 01

See the period you are looking at.

A daily count and a monthly count answer different questions. Period controls update the example chart, total and underlying data together.

  2. 02

    Make the values readable.

Every bar has a label. Every dataset has a table. The idea should remain understandable without distinguishing between colours or interpreting a chart shape.

  3. 03

    Interpret with care.

A higher completion count might reflect more demand, easier tasks or a change in staffing. The accompanying note gives a useful prompt without claiming a cause.

A COUNT IS A CLUE

Know what the numbers say.
And what they leave out.

The example tracks completed workflows, an open review queue and a median completion time. It does not measure quality, customer satisfaction or anyone’s productivity.

READING THE EXAMPLE

126 completions.
What would you ask next?

Look at how the week is distributed. Ask about the requests still waiting for review. Then talk to the people doing the work.

The illustrative weekly total is the sum of seven supplied values. Period comparisons are prepared examples, not observed business results or forecasts.

THE NEXT STEP BELONGS TO YOU

A view of the work.
Not a verdict on the team.

Review operations.

Use volume and queue information as a starting point for a conversation about capacity and handovers.

Explain a pattern.

Change the time window to understand whether a single busy day belongs to a broader trend.

Bring context back.

Return to the process and its playbook before deciding that an example indicator needs an intervention.

Illustration, not business intelligence infrastructure. Signal selects fixed datasets in the browser. It has no live data feeds, predictive models, exports, financial data or connected analytics services.
